Central Asian Shepherd Puppies
The Central Asian Shepherd is a giant breed dog used for livestock guardian and for guarding sheep, goatherds, and guard duty. It can give birth to 4-6 puppies at one time. These puppies are playful, adorable, and go through a lot of development stages while growing up.

Newborn
When the Central Asian Shepherd puppy is born, they are completely deaf, blind, and toothless. The newborn is fully dependent on their mother for everything. They can’t generate heat by themselves, so they shouldn’t be separated from their mother as they are likely to die from hypothermia.
Although they completely depend upon their mother after birth, the puppies have some good sense of smell. With the smell, they get close to their mother and other mates. During the first two weeks of their birth, puppies need a lot of sleep to develop their mind and body.
Neonatal Stage (0-2 Weeks)
The first two weeks after birth are the very vulnerable stage for Central Asian Shepherd as they can’t see anything or hear anything. The puppies are born with their eyes sealed so don’t try to open them as it naturally opens after 10-14 days. Still, after opening the eyes, their vision is blurry, and won’t be able to see properly.
Slowly, the puppy began to crawl with their feet which help them in the development of their muscles and bones. They shouldn’t be fed any solid food as their teeth are not seen even during the 2nd week. The only food they have to consume is their mother’s milk that contains colostrum keeping them safe from fatal diseases. Throughout the 2-week development process, the puppy needs 90 percent of sleep a day as this week is all about eating and sleeping. Then at the end of the second week, they weigh double their birth weight.
Transitional Stage (2-4 Weeks)
In this stage, the Central Asian Shepherd puppy starts to show some personality change. The newborn will now be able to see and hear by the end of the second week. You can see changes like them getting on their feet trying to walk with their wobbly move. They start to get more strong and playful during this stage as their teeth start erupting at the time.

Likewise, they start making barking noises and create their vocabulary trying to communicate with other puppies by yelping and whining. The mother will also teach the puppy to behave and socialize with the littermates as well as to pee and poop away from its nest.
At this stage, the puppy is more playful with the littermates by pawing each other. This pup breed gets larger and larger as it grows. Your puppy will not remain in average puppy size for long period. They grow so fast and their puppy size is enormous, to begin with.
Socialization Stage (4-12 weeks) Changes
This socialization stage is very important for Central Asian Shepherd as the socialization and training period behavior stays with them forever. When they reach 4 weeks old, it is time to start training your pup with simple tricks and start with their basic obedience training. The puppy will also start to interact with their littermates by pawing and biting each other but not in a hurtful way. There can be signs of distress in a puppy if they are kept distant from their siblings and littermates.
At the starting phase of week 5, the pup should be exposed to the outer world. They should be socialized with different humans, dogs, and places, so they don’t become aggressive as they meet someone new besides their surroundings. If they are not socialized properly then they become fearful and aggressive. By the time your pup is 8 weeks, you can begin their basic command training.
Juvenile Stage (3-6 months)
The juvenile stage is the first stage where your puppy enters their adolescence phase and starts to lose its puppy face slowly. Their puppy’s teeth also start to fall out and start to grow a new set of teeth as there will be a lot of mouthing and chewing stuff. Buy them toys and bones to chew on and keep your important stuff away from them. Start to feed 3 times a day with some extra treats while training. Also do not overfeed them as your puppy can be overweight which leads to different health problems.
Adolescent Stage (6-12 months)
As soon as the Central Asian Shepherd puppy gets to puberty, their adolescence period begins as well. They become more giant at this phase and start to look more like fully grown adults. In case of female Central Asian Shepherd, she experiences her first heat meanwhile the male start developing interest in female at this time. Still, breeding shouldn’t be done at this age, as their body and mind are not fully prepared and it might affect their health.
