Origin & History

The Puggle originated in the 1990s. It resulted as an accidental cross-breeding between a purebred Pug and a purebred Beagle. This breed has been gaining popularity today because of its novelty, cute looks, and sweet nature.

Currently, there are no breed clubs that has been taking care of or recognized the Puggle breed. Most of the litters of this breed are the result of first-generation breeding between Pugs and Beagles. However, there have also been a few breeding of Puggles with Puggles.

Yes, the Puggles are very child-friendly dogs as these dogs are sweet-tempered and can get along well with the children of all ages. They form a good bonding with kids and play along all day if they get attached to them.
