The Pomchi is a designer breed that is developed by mixing two small-sized breeds: Chihuahua and Pomeranian. It is also known by names like Chi-Pom, and Chiranian. They are developed in the United States like many other designer breeds.

The appearance and temperament can be different from the litters from the mother. Their appearance is mixed from both parents where they can inherit more from one than others. Pomchi makes an excellent family companion and they do not need big space to live in.

Temperament, Behavior, Personality

Temperament: The temperament of the Pomchi is alert, lively, and energetic. They make an excellent watchdog because they are constantly alert of the things going on in the surrounding. It will sound an alarm and warn its owner about someone’s presence.

Behavior: The Pomchi crave for the love and attention of its family. They are also a very active breed that needs to be taken out for play and run every day. If they are left alone for a long time without anyone to accompany them, they become destructive.

Personality: Personality may vary from the genes it inherits from its parents breed: Pomeranian and Chihuahua. The personality of the Pomchi is affectionate, friendly, and somewhat stubborn. This will motivate them to remain focused on the training. Be gentle and establish a firm leadership on them. Harshness or force hand will lead to Pomchi aggression which can be dangerous while they grow up.
