Lapponian Herder is a medium-sized dog breed that was originated from Finland. It is a very friendly and calm dog which is a member of the Spitz family.
Lapponian Herder was originally bred to herd reindeer and protect them from predators. The average height of this dog is 18-20 inches and weight is between 55-65 lbs. The coat is medium in length with a harsh and straight outer coat and soft and dense undercoat. The average life span of Lapponian Herder is between 12-14 years.
