Peekapoo is one of the oldest of hybrid developed in the 1950’s crossing between Pekingese and Miniature Poodle dogs. The goal was to produce a designer dog with less shedding suitable for people with allergies.

Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease: This disorder involver hip joint, particularly in small breeds. In this health issue, the blood supply to the head femur is decreased, and the head of the femur that is connected to the pelvis degenerates.

- Peekapoo is registered in the American Hybrid Canine Club in the name Peke A Poo.
- Even today, the breeders don’t breed Peekapoo with Peekapoo, they are still crossed between the Pekingese and purebred Poodle.
The Peekapoo gives birth to four to eight puppies at a time.
