Chi Pit is a sweet dog that is bred by crossing Pitbull and Chihuahua. The exact origin of this breed is unknown but it is a recent breed that is bred when the designer breed was in trend (which still is).

The appearance of the Pitbull Chihuahua mix dog depends on how much of genes it has received from either of the parents. It can be a board with a short neck like Pitbull or thin muzzle and long ears like Chihuahua.

Temperament, Behavior, and Personality

Temperament: The temperament of the Chi Pit is very active, lively, and gentle. Although temperament depends on the environment and how you raise them, you can train them and make them a gentle, friendly dog. It is playful and always playing making a great companion for you.

Behavior: The Chi Pit is an active and affectionate dog that needs the same amount of affection it gives to its people. If they do not get the attention and love from its people, it tends to get depressed and even destructive. So, provide them with enough love and care.

Personality: The personality of the Pitbull Chihuahua mix is smart and gentle. They are very good and kind with their family members but shows some bit of aggression towards other pets. They also do not trust strangers and tends to bark if they see someone approaching them and warn their owner about their presence. So, we can say they make an excellent watchdog.

Trainability

Training ChiPit needs patient and constant leadership. You have to establish leadership on them when they are young because once they hit adulthood, they become stubborn. Positive methods of training can be best if you provide delicious treats as a reward to them with lots of vocal praises. Don’t be harsh or forceful on them as it will only lead to their aggression.

Is ChiPit Child-Friendly?

ChiPit – Pitbull Chihuahua mix is a child-friendly dog that adores kids and enjoys being with them playing. They show their affection towards children of all age and enjoy their company. Although small children might play rough by pulling and pinching, so always supervise their playtime or interaction. Teach your kids to approach the dog and behave nicely with them.
